Joint Force Command Brunssum 50th Anniversary Event, MEDIA REGISTRATION

50th Anniversary of the presence of a NATO headquarters in Brunssum, Netherlands

There are three primary media events during this anniversary celebration: When registering please indicate the specific events you want to attend for access authorization.

1. Joint Force Command Brunssum ribbon cutting to officially open the new wing of the headquarters building, led by Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Curtis M. Scaparrotti. A bus will be provided from the Brunssum Town Hall to the headquarters for the opening ceremony and return to Brunssum. Bus departs 09:00 and returns approximately 10:15.

2. 50th Anniversary Press Conference in the Brunssum town centre with statements by Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, the Mayor of Brunssum and the Netherlands Minister of Defence. The press Conference is from 12:30-13:00.

3. Military parade and ceremonial events in Brunssum town centre. Access to the press viewing area is restricted to media who register to attend. The parade is from 10:45-11:25. Following the parade is the unveiling of a an Anniversary monument hosted by the Governor of Limburg.

Items 1 & 2 are access restricted events and require pre-registration. Only media who are registersted and approved will be given permission to attend.

Item 3 is in the Brunssum Town Center and is open to the public. However, entrance to the press viewing area for the parade is restricted to registered media personnel. Due to limited space and security concerns, only registered journalists working for verified media companies will be given press credentials for these events.

DEADLINE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION IS 24 MAY. In addition to registering before midnight 24 May, media attending any of these events must report to the Media Registration Desk at the Brunssum City Hall on 31 May to to present their media identification and recieve their media access badge. If registering more than one person for your news organization, you must provide the names of all media personnel attending the event by e-mail to jfcbs50@gmail.com by 24 May.

DEADLINE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION IS 24 MAY. In addition to registering by 24 May, media attending any of these events must report to the Media Registration Desk at the Brunssum City Hall on 31 May to to present their media identification and recieve their media access badge. Each event will have a media access list so please register for the apprpriate option for the events you want to attend. Please select only one option.

Option A- All events: Wing Opening Ceremony, military parade and NATO press conference

Option B- Military parade and NATO press conference only

Option C- Military parade only

Option D- Anniversary Press Conference only

Event Day Registration/ Media Accreditation times are as follows:

Option A: Wing Opening Ceremony, military parade and NATO press conference- 08:00 to 08:20

Option B: Media attending only the military parade and press conference- 08:30 to 09:00

Option C- Military parade only- 08:30-09:00

Option D- Anniversary Press Conference only- 09:00-11:30

Media who visit the headquarters compound for the wing opening ceremony will have to present their equipment for inspection by security personnel before boarding the bus to the headquarters area.
